Martha Keezer
Boston - Martha (Marty) E. Keezer (72) passed away on January 15, 2020, after a long period of declining health. Born in Boston, MA in 1947, she was the beloved daughter of the late Bruce M. Keezer and Helen Emmes Keezer of Natick, Mass. Martha graduated from Natick High School and Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. She received her Master's degrees from UMass Amherst and Dartmouth College. Martha taught art at Madawaska High School, Madawaska, Maine for over 30 years. She loved teaching and adored her Madawaska friends and students. She could often be seen riding around Madawaska with her favorite motorcycle, Helen Honda. Martha traveled extensively and helped support many animal funds.

She is survived by her brother, William J. Keezer and sister-in-law Carol Keezer of Natick, MA. She also leaves her nephew, Bruce W. Keezer and cousin Susan Oakes, both of Maine, and many dear friends in Madawaska. She had a very special friend and neighbor, Camille Rouleau of Madawaska who she affectionately referred to as her "Madawaska Mom". We thank everyone in Madawaska who welcomed her into their lives and helped her through many medical situations.
We will all miss her artistic abilities and her ability to keep you laughing with her quick witty humor.
Remembrances in her name may be made to the Madawaska High School Art Department, Madawaska, Maine. Per her wishes, services will be private.

Marty and I shared many childhood adventures and then traveled cross-country one summer when her regular travel buddy was busy elsewhere. I'll never forget Marty's infectious laughter, her artistic brilliance, her willingness to learn, and learn, and keep learning some more. I will miss this wonderful, warm soul--her courageous spirit and her passion for life.
